A more present-day message than ever. We said that in 2019. Then all the Romanians in London and not only answered. Now it's 2021 and our story goes on, this time in Chicago.
MI-E DOR DE TINE art installation, mounted on Britannica Building, downtown Chicago, will be unveiled on November 5th, 2021. It is a replica of the one featured in Canary Wharf, in London, UK in 2019.
๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ is perhaps the most beautiful statement that the Romanian language can contain. Maybe because "longing" is an untranslatable word. And maybe we know what emotions we have when we perceive the power of these simple words.
โEven if the USA is considered to be the land of opportunity, nothing could ever fill the gap of missing home and our loved ones. โI miss youโ will arrive in Chicago to bring comfort to everyone living far away from their families.
The city of Chicago that became home to over 100.000 Romanians will now host the light-art installation that went straight to the hearts of everyone who got the chance to visit it. It will tell the story of a collective longing belonging to everyone living far away from home, but who will now be closer than ever emotionally.โ, mentioned a post of Lights for Romania.
Switching on the light installation will be done in the presence of the president of the Daisler Association, Andi Daiszler, who also created the installation "I Miss You" and in the presence of representatives of the RUF - Romanian United Fund, a non-profit organization that brings together and carries out projects for Romanians in the United States of America. RUF is a partner of the approach.
The installation exhibited in Chicago will connect with her sisters from Romania, "๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ๐จ" and "๐'๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ" in a unique dialogue, imagined and created by the Daisler Association as part of the light art festival Lights On Romania.
The sponsor of the project is CEC Bank. The public opening is on November 11 and the installation will remain on until January 7, 2022.
