The fourth annual Alianta Awards Gala takes place on September 22 in the exquisite location of Unites States Institute of Peace, Washington, DC.   Each year the organisation recognises several individuals for their outstanding contributions to the Romanian-American partnership. This year's awardees are President George W. Bush, 43rdPresident of the United States, Lieutenant General Frederick (Ben) Hodges, Commanding General of the United States Army in Europe, and Professor Dennis Deletant OBE, Visiting Ion Ratiu Professor of Romanian Studies at Georgetown University.

The evening celebration includes a cocktail reception, dinner, and a fashion show featuring Romanian designers.  Attire: black tie optional.
