"It is irrelevant if we come into history as barbarians," („Îmi este indiferent dacă în istorie vom intra ca barbari”) directed by Radu Jude, nominated Romania's proposal to compete for the "Best Foreign Language Film" award for the 2019 Oscar - The Academy Award. The full-length feature, rewarded with the Crystal Globe at the Karlovy Vary Festival 2018, received the majority of the votes of this year's Romanian Film Selection Committee's Best Film Award for Best Oscars.
